In advance of CEDIA Expo 2011, Remote Technologies Incorporated (RTI) is making it is T2-Cs+ handheld controller and XP-3 control processor available to customers. The company promises more proclamations and new merchandise at CEDIA, which runs September 7-10 in Indianapolis, IN.

“The T2-Cs+ and XP-3 represent a little preview of a lot of of the outstanding highlights in store at our CEDIA booth this year, and we are very excessively affected emotionally to have them shipping in time for the show,” said Pete Baker, vice president of sales and merchandising for RTI. “Packed full of progressed technologies and modern features, the T2-Cs+ and XP-3 deliver finish control and powerful capabilities. There’s been a lot of buzz surrounding these productions since we declared their release, so we give hope or courage to CEDIA attendees to stop by our booth and see what all the excitement is about.”

The T2-C+ delivers control and flexibleness with a dual-RF platform. It’s the next generation of RTI’s T2-C handheld controllers, and adds a number of features for intuitive control over complex A/V systems. The new model includes a 2.4-inch LCD touchscreen with an increased observing angle and 128 MB Flash memory, and a 532-MHz CPU to provide a boost in performance. The controller’s dual-RF platform supports both 433-MHz RF for one-way control and 2.4 GHz ZigBee for bidirectional communications with RTI processors. The remote also supports third-party electronics such as music servers and lighting.

The XP-3’s processor may also provide the user with real-tine feedback from supported third-party gimmicks such as music servers, lighting, security, and RSS feeds to display weather forecasts and other updates. Users may import data from third-part gimmicks with a simple touch.

The T2-Cs+ is presently shipping for a suggested selling of $699 and the XP-3 for $499. RTI will exhibit at CEDIA Expo 2011 booth 3024.
